November 30th, 2013 - Adult Gingerbread House Decorating Class at the Hartstone Inn in Camden, Maine.

This past week we again had the pleasure of holding a gingerbread house decorating class at the Hartstone Inn, one of Camden, Maine’s most beautiful inns. We had a great group of men and women and everyone did an incredible job! Each individual received a large New England style gingerbread farmhouse that they decorated with a variety of elegant scrollwork patterns, leaping sleds and reindeer, sugary snowflakes, holly berries and leaves, and a number of other decorations. Each house was mounted on a board with Christmas trees and a number of other festive decorations! These farmhouse style gingerbread houses included a flickering light mounted inside. When switched on at night, the light gives a beautiful illusion of fireplace flames flickering inside the house through the windows! Each house is very sturdy and was made to withstand travel for those that transported their creations out of town. We all enjoyed a wonderful afternoon while everyone tapped into their creativity mixed with lots of laughter! It was a fantastic way to start off the holiday season!
